BigCommerce → Shopify migration

BigCommerce to Shopify, done right the first time.

Migrating off BigCommerce is where a lot of brands lose their SEO, their data, and their nerve, or hand it to an agency and get a mess back. I run stores on both platforms and rebuilt one after a launch went sideways. I'll make sure yours goes right.

Operator, not an agency · Fixed quote before anything starts · Building stores since 2005
The problem

Most migrations go sideways in predictable ways.

Broken redirects that torch your search rankings. Customer and order history that doesn't come across clean. Subscriptions that break. A theme rebuild that drags on for months.

Agencies hand it to a junior dev and bill you for the learning curve. I know, because I had to clean one of those up on my own brand. I'm not an agency. I'm the operator who lives with the result.

What you get
A full data migration: products, variants, customers, order history and content, moved and verified.
SEO preserved: a complete URL map and 301 redirects, so you keep the rankings you've earned.
A rebuilt Shopify or Shopify Plus storefront, set up to convert, not just to look nice.
Apps, subscriptions and your email/SMS (Klaviyo) reconnected and tested.
Real QA and a launch plan, so go-live is a non-event instead of a fire drill.
One operator accountable for all of it, from first export to clean cutover.
How it works
01

Free scoping call

We get on a call, I look at your catalog, and I map the SEO and redirect risks. You leave with a fixed quote and a timeline, no charge and no obligation.

02

The migration

Done-for-you, on a clear timeline, with you looped in at the checkpoints that matter. Data, redirects, theme, apps, lifecycle, all handled.

03

Launch + handoff

Clean cutover, redirects live, everything tested. You get a store you can actually run, not a project you have to babysit.

Why me

I've lived this migration, not just read about it.

When WACKYwalk'r moved to Shopify, the launch an outside agency delivered was a mess. I brought development in-house, fixed it, and rebuilt the storefront with a stack of enhancements in under two months.

I run that brand's Shopify commerce and lifecycle every day, and I run Banneker on BigCommerce, so I know both platforms cold. This isn't a service I studied. It's one I've lived. i3 has been building brands and stores since 2005.

Questions

Will I lose my Google rankings?

Not if it's done right. Preserving SEO through a full URL map and 301 redirects is the core of the job, not an afterthought.

What about subscriptions and my email flows?

Reconnected and tested as part of the migration. If you want the lifecycle rebuilt too, that's a natural next step, and something I do every day for my own brands.

How long does it take?

Most projects run a few weeks. You'll have a real timeline after the free scoping call, not a guess.

Do you only do BigCommerce?

Magento and WooCommerce migrations too. Shopify is the destination I know cold.
