Most studios pitch. We’ve spent twenty years proving it. Ask the clients who never left.
“Anyone can make it look good.
We make it sell.”
Five disciplines, one studio. Start anywhere on the list — most clients end up using all of it, which is rather the point.
Identity, packaging and print, built to be remembered.
Stores on Shopify and BigCommerce, built to convert.
Content and campaigns that earn attention before they buy it.
Senior marketing leadership, embedded on a fractional basis.
Help putting AI to work in your brand and marketing — strategy through hands-on builds. We run i3 on it ourselves.
Two relationships. Twenty years each. Not a portfolio of one-night stands — a record of brands we helped build, and never stopped growing.
It began as a single job: a logo and a first website. Two decades on, we’ve touched nearly all of it — identity, packaging, the climb from Flash to BigCommerce to a full Shopify rebrand, and WUNDERball, the breakout product we helped name, brand, package and bring to market — now the best seller, turning up in back yards on every continent. Through all of it, we worked directly with the founder and CEO.
Our first job was the creative on an investor presentation. It became a film, a website, a full identity, packaging, even a hand in the product itself — and a BigCommerce store of wood-faced watches. The role grew with it: fractional CMO and COO, running the marketing and the operations, and the first triple-digit growth run we’d later repeat at WACKYwalk’r.
When the product works but the marketing is scattered, i3 steps in as your fractional CMO to own it — the strategy, the channels, the numbers. We grow brands the slow way first: real content, real substance, real creativity, then paid media to pour fuel on what’s already lit. Anyone can rent sales for a quarter. We build growth that compounds for years.
Explore fractional CMO
Dave Herda has spent two decades turning products into brands people keep — and running the marketing, e-commerce and operations that make them sell. He’s grown a brand’s online sales 100%+ a year for four straight years — then did it again for a second company, three years and counting — led full rebrands, launched a best-seller, and stepped in as fractional CMO and COO when clients needed more than a designer. He works fluidly across brand, web, e-commerce and growth — and he’s fluent with the AI tools that now let a lean studio outwork a big one. Across clients he works at every level — hand-in-hand with founders and CEOs, and just as comfortably with in-house marketing teams.
His one rule: it isn’t finished until the client is genuinely happy and the solution is the best one on the table — not the fastest, not his favorite, the best. That means asking sharper questions, killing good ideas in search of great ones, and finding the angle nobody else in the room caught. Off the clock he’s a lifelong reader and avid writer, a reformed ski bum marooned in the flat Midwest, and the rhythm guitarist in a dad band that’s better than it has any right to be. Good design and good music, he’ll tell you, run on the same secret: nobody notices the craft until it’s missing.
A logo, a store, a campaign, or a seat at the table. Whatever it is, you’ll have a senior partner who owns the outcome — and brings in exactly the right people to deliver it.
